first sunday of the month

Yesterday, i decided a good way to spend my sunday afternoon was hunting for trash and treasures at brisbane's monthly suitcase rummage sale in town, so when i showed up to a deserted king george square i was a bit miffed (i don't live near town, you see).

BUT, determined to solve the mystery of the absent rummage sale, i googled it and turned out the rummage sale had moved up the road and a bit to reddacliff place, hooray!

I scored a lovely handmade treasure, the little brooch made by polly gone (above), and i also picked up several pieces of trash which are itching to begin their new lives with me after they've received some tender loving attention!

If you've not been to a suitcase rummage yet, i highly recommend. There's a treasure trove of handmade goods, vintage clothing and bric a brac AND some fantastic baked treats. Next one is on december 5, perfect timing for some christmas gift shopping.
